Project Overview
Location: Singapore (hotel corridors and stairwells)
Product: 8mm laminated glass + 304 stainless steel posts with brushed finish
Height: 1100mm
We recommended 316 stainless steel because Singapore is humid and close to the sea. The client chose 304 with regular maintenance to fit their budget–and we respected that.
Stainless steel resists corrosion, is easy to clean, and offers strong load capacity. Glass keeps corridors bright and open – no blocked views, no dark corners.
How We Handled the Critical Details
Post base – Used embedded steel plates + chemical anchors for uneven marble floors. No wobble.
Glass connection – Added 3mm rubber gaskets + silicone to prevent stress cracks and allow thermal expansion.
Weld finishing – Five steps (weld → grind → brush → passivation). No shortcuts.
Meeting Singapore’s Standards
We provided Mill Test Certificates and salt spray test reports. Post spacing was kept at 1.2m or less to meet 1.0kN/m load capacity.
Final Result
The railings shipped on time, installed without issues, and passed all inspections.
